Gwinnett Place CID January Board meeting rescheduled

The Gwinnett Place CID’s Board of Directors January business meeting has been rescheduled to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Unless otherwise stated, the Gwinnett Place CID Board of Directors meets at the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place – 1775 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth GA. 30096.


Gwinnett Light rail project gaining momentum

A proposed light rail line benefiting Gwinnett County particularly greater Gwinnett Place, is one of two metro-Atlanta projects set to receive federal study funding.  Progress towards making Gwinnett “Greener” and Gwinnett more sustainable.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will dedicate $25.7 million in grant funding nationwide to help communities such as Gwinnett, evaluate new or expanded transit systems.

The Gwinnett Place and Gwinnett Village CIDs along with Gwinnett County were jointly awarded $600,000 to fund the analysis for a rail line operating parallel I-85 from the existing MARTA station in Doraville to the Gwinnett Arena on Sugarloaf Parkway.
